Product Manager Onboarding (m/f/d)
At Shore, we offer two core products: a booking solution and a point-of-sale (POS) system,tailored for small and medium sized businesses in the beauty, hair and medical beauty industry.
As our new Product Manager for the Onboarding Experience, you will take full ownership of one of the most critical journeys in our products: guiding our customers from their very first interaction with Shore to their first moment of real value.
With an ever-growing feature set and expanding value proposition, the key to long-term success lies in how quickly and clearly new customers recognize the value we bring. From the first touchpoint with our products to a fully activated, confident user — your mission is to create a best-in-class onboarding experience.
This is a highly cross-functional role where you’ll be working with a dedicated engineering team, while collaborating closely with marketing, support, customer success and most importantly, our users.
What you'll do
- Take ownership of the entire onboarding journey, from first login to meaningful product usage
- Define the product vision and roadmap for onboarding in line with company strategy and customer needs
- Uncover and address friction points in activation, setup, and initial engagement
- Work closely with Marketing to ensure acquisition flows align with onboarding
- Partner with Customer Success & Support to integrate feedback loops and reduce onboarding-related issues
- Drive experimentation to continually optimize activation
- Balance long-term thinking with pragmatic, iterative execution
Key KPIs You'll Build and Drive
- Activation Rate (customers reaching key first-value milestones)
- Time to First Value
- Conversion to Paid Usage
- Churn within first 30–90 days
- Volume and type of support tickets during onboarding
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of product management experience, ideally with focus on onboarding, growth, or customer activation
- Proven success in improving onboarding flows and driving conversion
- Strong end-user empathy and ability to turn customer insight into product improvements
- Experience working in or building products for the beauty, hair and medical beauty industry is a strong plus
- A holistic thinker who understands the business and product context but can work hands-on and step-by-step
- High level of autonomy, ownership, and a collaborative spirit
- Structured and analytical mindset, with a strong focus on outcomes
- Excellent communication skills in English; German is a strong plus
